Northern Oklahoma College produced Kate Hamill's Pride & Prejudice, directed by Emily Rose Parman. In addition to technical direction, I designed set, lights, props, and sound. Costumes by Melodie Parman.
The goal for this production was to bring the humor of the piece into the technical elements. While we do live in the world of Jane Austen, transitions have to be quick and at times, humorous. The sound design was fun for this one. During one scene transition, one of the characters covers a quick change by pretending to play the piano. We switched the recording up some nights to be A Thousand Miles, Hottogo, or other recognizable songs.
