Of Mice And Men
Project type
Opera
Date
June 2026
Location
Des Moines Metropolitan Opera
I was hired on as the Technical Director for Des Moines Metropolitan Opera's production Of Mice And Men. This show was a collaboration between DMMO, Houston Grande Opera, Kansas City Opera, and Florida State University.
DMMO had the most unique stage the show was traveling to and it was a fun puzzle to solve. This production required the use of 54 motors on line sets in order to run in rep with Tosca and King Roger. In addition to TD-ing, I was also able to mentor the interns to help them grow in knowledge and confidence.
